Other Things I've Researched and Written:
An in-depth OSINT-based report on the Abraham Accords. In this report originally created for Flashpoint, another analyst and I discuss the history and cyber and physical implications of the 2020 diplomatic agreements that became known as the Abraham Accords.
Alongside Flashpoint's Middle East team, I provide summaries and analyses of some of the most important breaking news updates impacting the Middle East and North Africa region from September 16 to 23, 2022.
For my honors senior thesis, I sought to tackle one of the largest questions facing international relations scholars: why does civil conflict occur? I conducted an in-depth statistical analysis exploring the connection between foreign aid conditioned on democratization and civil, political violence. The paper:
Employed statistical analysis with STATA to study relationships between various countries and international aid organizations.
Studied political behavior of states in the EU and world-at-large.
Was presented at NYU's Undergraduate Research Conference in May 2020.
A historical survey looking into the behavior of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and how they polarize their spatio-temporal "space" to monopolize state revenues and their populations for maximum possible gain.
Despite the striking resemblance between Islamic and Judaic mysticism, there is surprisingly little research explaining the relationship between the two. This research paper aims to explore the overlap between each spirituality and investigate their similarities and differences.
This paper analyzes how each spirituality defines itself through three primary categories of analysis: Sufism and Kabbalah’s approach to spirituality; how much each system of mysticism separates itself from its parent religions; and the influence of other religions on each mysticism. Through the process, I highlight the various, often unrecognized, parallels between Judaic and Islamic mysticisms.
One mustn't look far in times of conflict to see disturbing war photography aimed at shocking, angering, and/or moving us to act. But does it actually work?
